Jac Cogdon was born in Yorkshire and studied at York College of Art. After working in the Advertising and Marketing Industry as a Graphic Designer he founded his own Design Agency and in 1991 it was sold to a leading provincial Advertising Agency Group in Yorkshire.

In 1992 he travelled to Spain and decided to embark on his true passion of painting fine art residing initially in Southern Spain and eventually touring the Canary Islands painting a variety of subjects including Rustic Spanish Fincas, Seascapes and Landscapes.

In 2005 for the first time he visited Pembrokeshire and studied the wealth of beautiful coastlines and subjects that surrounded him, this it seems was the inspiration to return to the UK permanently and embark on painting fine art here in Pembrokeshire.
